Congratulations to Cal Poly for winning the Carnival Classic over the weekend in Santa Barbara.  In a very competitive field, the Mustangs showed quality depth winning 4 of 5 games in route to the title.  Good hitting and solid pitching led them to wins over UCLA, UCSD, USC and a nail bitter over UCLA in the championship game 8-7.  CAL was the only team to slow the Mustangs on their way to the title.  With conference play starting to heat up, Cal Poly made a statement in their quest to reach Las Vegas
