NCBA DI World Series Game 11 – Penn State holds off the charging Vikings to eliminate Western Washington 5-4, eliminating WWU from the tournament.  The win puts Penn State in the Championship Game Thursday night.

David Takes Down Goliath

NCBA DI World Series Game 10 – After Texas A&M defeated UF 12-5 on the first day of the tournament, the experts thought the #1 seed would be a lock for a win tonight.  However, #8 Florida gets the last laugh as they turn the tables on the Aggies and eliminate the top seed from the tournament 11-6.  The Gators stole the momentum and broke the game open with a 5-run 8th inning which had started in a 6-6 tie.

Hawkeyes Heading Home

NCBA DI World Series Game 9 – Western Washington University capitalizes on 11 hits to defeat Iowa 6-3, eliminating the Hawkeyes from the tournament.

Top Seed Falls

NCBA DI World Series Game 8 – Despite being outhit 10 to 9, #4 Penn State knocks off the top-seeded Texas A&M Aggies 4-2.

Dukes feast in the 10th

NCBA DI World Series Game 7 – For the second straight game, James Madison steals a victory in extra-inning Baseball, coming back from a 4-run deficit late in the game and driving in the winning run on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning to defeat Western Washington 6 – 5.

#2 Eliminated

NCBA DI World Series Game 5 – #3 Iowa eliminates #2 Illinois from the tournament after battling back from behind in the closing innings to win by a final score of 9-7.

Gilbert Dominates

NCBA DI World Series Game 4 – #4 Penn State exploded out of the gate offensively, batting around the lineup in the 1st inning. Their scoring was highlighted by a 1st inning Grand Slam by first baseman Austin Thomas. Senior Kyle Gilbert was unbeatable on the mound as he threw a complete-game shutout, allowing only 2 hits to the #5 Cal Bears.

All Max-ed Out

The gusting winds of Tampa pretty much eliminated all right handed hitters from contention as Max Hegedus (Pitt) was able to outlast an impressive Zach Cutter (JMU) in the 3rd Sudden Death Swing off round to take home his 3rd consecutive DeMarini Longball Challenge Title.

NCBA DI World Series Game 3 – Four late runs aren’t enough as top-seeded Texas A&M handles #8 Florida 12-5.

NCBA DI World Series Game 2 – After exploding with 9 runs in the top of the 8th inning, #7 Western Washington cruised to a 14-6 victory over #2 Illinois.
