We’re officially down to six teams! Not only were the #1 (Nebraska) & #2 (Iowa) seeds eliminated earlier today, but our only two undefeated teams in the winners bracket finals are our #7 (Iowa State) & #8 (East Carolina) seeds…who have both earned a day off tomorrow.

Impossible not to mention one more time the performance by Skylar Petry of Virginia Tech, as he threw the NCBA’s 3rd ever NO HITTER in World Series play earlier today against Iowa.

#8 seed East Carolina is into the National Semifinals after topping #4 seed North Dakota by a score of 8-2. They have officially earned the day off tomorrow, as they’ll await to see who their Monday night (7:00 PM CST) opponent is.  North Dakota will take on #4 seed Oregon tomorrow afternoon at 10:00 AM CST in an elimination game.

#7 seed Iowa State is onto the National Semifinals after topping #3 seed Salisbury by a score of 3-2. They have officially earned the day off tomorrow, as they’ll await to see who their Monday night (4:00 PM CST) opponent is. Salisbury will take on #6 seed Virginia Tech tomorrow morning at 1:00 PM CST in an elimination game.

#5 seed Oregon survives to play another day as they eliminate #1 Nebraska by a score of 6-2. They will now play tomorrow morning @ 10:00 AM CST against the loser of today’s #8 seed East Carolina / #4 seed North Dakota winners bracket game, which is set for 7:00 PM CST.

#7 seed Virginia Tech survives to play another day as they eliminate #2 Iowa by a score of 2-0. They will now play tomorrow afternoon @ 1:00 PM CST against the loser of today’s #7 seed Iowa State / #3 seed Salisbury winners bracket game, which is set for 4:00 PM CST.

**Skylar Petry (Virginia Tech) cements his name within the NCBA record books as the 3rd ever pitcher to toss a NO HITTER during World Series play. He joins Anthony Perez of New York University (2008) & Jeremey Gonzalez of UT – Chattanooga (2016). Congratulations, Skylar!
