Lone Star College has been placed on probation for violation of NCBA Rule 26.01.0 (forfeited an entire series to conference opponent).

2019 couldn’t have went any better for Illinois Club Baseball as they capped off their season with a National Championship. Finishing 14-1 in conference play, they earned the #1 seed at the Regional Playoff. After being upset by Mich. State Game 1, Illinois reeled off 4 straight wins, including 2 straight over Mich. State to punch their ticket to the 2019 World Series in Holly Springs, NC. Entering the event with a 23-3 record, they secured the #3 seed. The Illini took down Grand Canyon 9-5 in the Championship game bringing their 2019 season to an end as National Champions & ranked as the #1 team in the country.

Grand Canyon University took home their 2nd straight SoPac Regional Title in 2019. Finishing 12-3 in conference play, they earned the #2 seed at the Regional Playoff. After back to back run rule victories they took down UC Santa Baraba in the Title game to punch their ticket to the 2019 World Series in Holly Springs, NC. Entering the event with a 18-3 record, they secured the #4 seed. With wins over Florida State & Iowa, GCU found themselves in the Nat’l Semi Finals for the 2nd year in a row. While they ultimately reached the Championship Game, GCU lost a hard fought battle to Illinois to bring their 2019 season to an end ranked as the #2 team in the country.

SOUTH ATLANTIC TEAM PREVIEWS: Florida State University claimed the South Atlantic Regional Title for the 2nd straight year in 2019. Finishing 11-4 in conference play, they earned the #2 seed at the Regional Playoff. After dropping their semi final game against Georgia, they ran the table back through including 2 wins over Georgia on Championship Sunday to punch their ticket to the 2019 World Series in Holly Springs, NC. Entering the event with a 22-7 record, they secured the #5 seed. FSU dropped Game 1 against Grand Canyon, though reeled off 2 wins against Maryland & Iowa before losing to Illinois to bring their 2019 season to an end ranked as the #3 team in the country.

Sporting a 16-2 record in conference play, they earned the #1 seed at the Regional Playoff. After a 1st round upset loss, they reeled off 4 straight wins to punch their ticket to the 2019 World Series in Holly Springs, NC. Entering the event with a 27-5 record, they secured the #2 seed. TAMU was upset by Boston College in Game 1, though picked up wins against Oregon State & Boston College before ultimately falling to Grand Canyon to bring their 2019 season to an end ranked as the #4 team in the country.

Boston College was the team to beat in the North Atlantic Region in 2019. After going 11-4 in conference play, BC took home the NAR North title to move onto the Regional Playoffs. As the #2 seed the Eagles put together a perfect weekend of baseball going 3-0 with wins over Brockport, Drexel & Penn State to punch their ticket to the 2019 World Series in Holly Springs, NC. Entering the event with a 17-4 record, they secured the #7 seed. They started off hot upsetting #2 Texas A&M 5-2, though ultimately dropped back to back games against Illinois & Texas A&M to bring their 2019 season to an end ranked as the #6 team in the country.

The Oregon State Beavers had a memorable run through the Northern Pacific Region in 2019. After finishing 13-2 & runner up to Oregon within conference play, they relied on the At Large bid to qualify for the Regional Playoff.  The #4 seed Beavers came out hot & upset Utah State in Game 1 but was cooled off in a hurry getting run ruled by Eastern Washington in Game 2. Battling all the way back through the consolation bracket they capped off the weekend defeating Eastern Washington two games in a row Sunday to punch their ticket to the 2019 World Series in Holly Springs, NC.  Entering the event with a 18-5 record, they secured the #6 seed. In their opening round match up they came up short to eventual Champion Illinois 9-3, then dropped their consolation bracket game 10-1 to Texas A&M to bring their 2019 season to an end ranked as the #8 team in the country.

The Iowa Hawkeyes proved to be the team to beat within the Mid America Region in 2019. After going 10-2 within conference play they earned the #2 seed at the Regional Playoff. They went a perfect 3-0 on the weekend defeating perennial NCBA powerhouse Colorado State in back to back games to take home the title.  With a 28-3 record heading into the World Series they secured the #1 seed. In their 1st round match up they took down a tough Maryland squad 2-0, though unfortunately dropped back to back games against Grand Canyon & Florida State to bring their 2019 season to an end.
