Daniel was born and raised in Belmont, CA,just about 20 miles south of San Francisco. He attended the University ofOregon where he graduated in 2023 with a BS in Public Relations and minorsin Sports Business and Economics, and Friis played Club Baseball all four yearsas a catcher. Friis earned All-NCBA first-team honors in 2021, second-teamNOPAC honors in 2022 and first-team honors in 2023. Friis was part of the 2021Oregon team that made an NCBA World Series appearance and he followed as theco-president in 2022 and 2023 helping Oregon reach the NOPAC title game in bothyears. 

Now, Friis works for Topgolf in Burlingame, CA, as an EventSales Manager and is hoping to pursue a long-term career in sports. In his freetime, Friis enjoys playing softball, golf, walking his dog, cooking and rootingfor his hometown teams - the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco49ers and the Golden State Warriors.
