GREAT LAKES ALL-REGION

The University of Wisconsin had a strong showing at this year’s World Series representing the Great Lakes.  After a tough first game, the Badgers bounced back and beat a very solid Texas A&M Team.  In the end, the Badgers season didn’t end as they hoped but it was a great season nonetheless.  They lead the Great Lakes first team All Region with 4 selections but plenty of other talented ball players this year in the Great Lakes.  Congratulations to all those who made the 2018 Great Lakes All-Region Teams.

MID-ATLANTIC ALL REGION

East Carolina has been the team to beat in the Mid-Atlantic Region for the past  5-years as they represented the Region in the World Series every year since 2014.  Obviously, if you are that successful, you have terrific leadership and players.  No huge surprise that ECU leads the way with 8 selections on the first team alone.  Congrats to all those in the Mid-Atlantic Region that were selected as All-Region on the 2018 Mid-Atlantic All Region Teams.

GULF COAST ALL-REGION

Texas A&M got back to the NCBA DI World Series after a year hiatus and while the 2018 DI World Series didn’t give them their expected outcome, they did have a fantastic season.  They were anchored by a lot of great players many of whom were selected to the 2018 Gulf Coast All-Region Teams.  The NCBA would like to congratulate everyone who made Gulf Coast All-Region as well.

MID-AMERICA ALL-REGION

Iowa State may have surprised some as the represented the Mid-America Region at the 2018 NCBA DI World Series.  They won the Mid-America North Conference for the first time and were able to come through the losers bracket during the Mid-America Regional and defeat Missouri twice to secure the Mid-America Championship.  They played extremely well at the World Series, but ultimately came up short.  They had a lot of great ballplayers that led the way and it’s no surprise that ISU leads the way with 9 selections on the 2018 Mid-America All-Region Teams.  Congratulations to all those that made it!

NORTHERN PACIFIC ALL-REGION

The Ducks from the University of Oregon flew under the radar as being a top-tier team for most of the year.  They weren’t featured on the NCBA DI Top 20 until Week 22, and steadily rose from there on in.  They were a team that caught fire at the right time and earned the #1 overall seed at the 2018 NCBA DI World Series.  Their finish wasn’t what they expected but they did make it to the semi-finals where they ran into the eventual National Champions. They were led by some great ballplayers, many of which are coming back in 2019!  The Ducks led the way with 7 selections on the Northern Pacific 1st Team All-Region, and many other Northern Pacific Region players should be proud in making onto the 2018 Northern Pacific All-Region Teams!

SOUTHERN PACIFIC ALL-REGION

In only its second year at the Division I level, Grand Canyon University made it all the way to the National Semi-finals in it’s first NCBA Division I World Series.  They cemented themselves as a team to be reckoned with competing with the top programs in the country.  Grand Canyon was led by some great ball players some of which were recognized as SoPac All-Region.  It comes as no surprise that, GCU leads the way with 9 selections on the 2018 Southern Pacific All-Region Teams but congratulations to all those who were selected!

SOUTH ATLANTIC ALL REGION

The Florida State Seminoles had themselves quite a season reaching the 2018 NCBA World Series.  While the World Series didn’t go quite like they had hoped, they were led by some great ballplayers that earned them seven first-team All South-Atlantic.  A lot of other deserving South Atlantic players made the 2018 South Atlantic All-Region Teams, so be sure to check them out.  Congratulations to all that made the 1st, 2nd and 3rd All South Atlantic Teams!

RAWLINGS NCBA DI FINAL TOP 20!

For the first time all year, there is a new team atop the Rawlings NCBA DI Final Top 20!  To no ones surprise it is the 2018 NCBA Division I National Champions, the Penn State Nittany Lions!  What a great year it has been and what a fantastic DI World Series it was!  Just like the previous year, the National Championship was decided with a walk-off performance.  If you haven’t heard the call on the online radio broadcast from Ryan Norris, then it’s suggested you take a listen.  What a game and what a season!  Congratulations to the Nittany Lions and hats off to all the NCBA Teams on a great year!  The 2018-2019 season is just around the corner!
