Utah State is heading back to World Series

Utah State proved they were the number one seed for a reason as they clinch a spot in the World Series as the NOPAC representative.  USU beat a solid Montana team to open the tournament on Friday with solid pitching and timely hitting.  In game two USU took on the hard hitting Eastern Washington Eagles who took care of Oregon the day before.  The USU pitching staff was up to the challenge and kept the hard hitting Eagles in check as the USU offense played a little small ball to pressure the defense and pick up their second win of the tournament.  The championship game slated for a noon start was delayed five hours but the break didn’t seem to phase the Aggies as they again took on Eastern Washington and beat the Eagles 6-1 to claim the NOPAC Regional title.

A tip of the hat to an outstanding performance by Eastern Washington as they had a great showing at the regional tournament.  We expect to see more of this team in the years to come.
